I've always been able to right click on an image and save it, be it the Seamonkey browser or embedded image in Seamonkey e-mail. AND had no problems saving images attached in Seamonkey e-mail.

The save screen and everything works and looks normal except the image file you thought you saved is not saved. I can not save any images from Seamonkey - PERIOD

I have no problems saving images with IE - Firefox or Thunderbird - Only Seamonkey and it started a couple of weeks ago.

I made a new profile in Seamonkey and the new profile will save the images.

I've looked things over but, can't see anything obviously wrong in my old (current) profile.

I reckon I can transfer all the mail, bookmarks etc. to a new profile but, Can anyone tell me how to avoid that and fix the problem with the current profile.

    Thanks, Ray

This could be an easy one. Do you remember when people could not do any more downloads using Netscape7.x? Seamonkey has the same bad habits, and, if you don't get rid of the items in the Tools|Download manager, you will not be able to dop any further downloads. Look at what is in DM, and if the page is full, that's the problem. Ramona has agood page describing how to get out of the problem. I, periodically, delete the items in the DM.

Thanks Westside, You fixed it. -- Here is what I did.

Clicked on Tools and Download Manager - I had No Download Manager - Nothing showed Up "Zilzh "

Next, I went to the link you provided and per the link, went to the Seamonkey/components folder and deleted the compreg.dat folder.

Tried things again - No Joy, as Ramona says.

I then went to Seamonkey's slt folder and deleted downloads.rdf, - mimeTypes.rdf, - history.dat and the cache folder.

The instructions also said to delete the XUL.dat file but, I had no XUL.dat file.

Reloaded Seamonkey and BINGO, I can save images and now I have a Tools Download Manager

All is Joy again - Thanks - Ray

It is the XUL.mfl file, however, it is not located in the usual profile place, like the old days. I found mine in this path:C:\Documents and Settings\Fulvio Perini\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profilename . But it does not seem to matter to you. The file tends to bloat over time, and it was rebuilt, in the old days.
