well this is a tough one, I have a laptop that a while back was dropped, the screen is broken but I have been using a external screen and needed to use safe mode to uninstall some programs. so I changed the boot menu in msconfig not relizing the external screen wont show so the laptop is stuck in safemode with no screen to see any thing.

so hopefully theres a way to fix this.

    Thanks,

It wouldn't hurt to mention the make and model number of the lappy..

Have a strong feeling the solution will be to replace the broken monitor.

EDIT: The is an fN + F? Key combo for switching between monitors. You could try that.

Sorry Ive been busy with work and this laptop wasn't high on my priorities since it wont boot, but I got a pm to please respond and I was reminded I posted here.

Its an hp compaq laptop. If the solution is to replace I wont be able to afford it for a while... The FN key wont work because I dont think its booting all the way... possibly stuck at the password screen or something...
