Resolved rundll32.exe missing?

    Hi all. I am new to this forum. I hope somebody can help me.
    I have recently had the misfortune of getting the XP total security scam. It has been a pain to get rid of. I used Malware Malbytes to get rid of it. This seemed to work, but it also got rid of my rundll32.exe file and ?rundll.exe file so I can't run most programs! I havent got an XP disc as laptop came preloaded. Is there a safe download site?

    No, system files shouldn't be downloaded from "some" site.

    Are you posting from the very same computer?

    What exactly do you mean by "most programs "?
