I'm sure I could ATTEMPT this myself, but I'd rather not mess up my compter's settings.

    Here's what we've got going:
I'm running Windows XP that connects to a Wireless-G LinkSys Router via a USB wireless Linksys device with a network that is set to NAT, with 3 computers on it.

This is what I'd like to do:
I'd like to hook an Xbox/PS2/Laptop/Etc into my MoBo's ethernet port, and route it through to the Wireless USB adapter so that the Ethernet connected device will be able to have internet access also.

I'm sure with searching and lots of reading I could figure it out, but I'd rather ask the professionals :)

    Thanks much for the help!

Why not connect the Xbox/PS2/Laptop/Etc directly to the router? The router should have an uplink port to which you could connect a hub/switch and daisy chain up to 250 additional computers, or the router may also have cat5 ports.

I echo the question set forth by TonyT

The way I read and understand your post you would ( I believe ) be using what we call SHARING.

I myself recommend that if at all possible you stay AWAY from that. Because if the machine you want to connect to goes down in a heap ( or anything goes wrong) your Xbox/PS2/Laptop/Etc will go nowhere.

To answer your questions, which I should have clarified, there's roughly 3 walls, 1 floor, and about a hundred feet in the way of directly connecting it, or I would have gladly taken the easy route :)

Well, I've got it set up to apoint.

My connection that my xbox is hooking up to isn't getting assigned a DNS by either my comp or the network.

    Helllp :(
