    Hi Everyone,

I am using Firefox as my browser and recently when I click on a website, the right-left arrow bar at the bottom of the page that allows you to move in order to see the whole page disappears. If I am on a website, New York Times for instance, if I click on an individual article the bar appears at the bottom of the page, but if I am on the homepage, there is no bar. It makes it difficult to view the entire content of the homepage. Does anyone know of a solution or fix for this? It's not a huge problem, but its very annoying. Thanks in advance for the help.

Short of reinstalling Firefox, I have no solutions for you. I did go to the New York Times web site and I have the bar at the bottom on the main page.

Are you talking about the horizontal scrollbar? What screen resolution are you using?

My normal screen res is 1280x1024, and NY Times pages are displayed full-width, with no scrollbar. The same thing is true at 1152x864 and 1024x768. Only if I step the resolution down to 800x600 or less do I get less than a full-width page display and a horizontal scrollbar.

I'm using three different versions of Firefox: 1.5.0.7, 2.0rc3, and 3.0a1, and I get the same display with all of them.

If you're using a screen resolution of less than 1024x768, change it to that setting in Display Properties.

    envirossf,

I agree, it is most annoying if you are referring to the resize grippy in the bottom right of the status bar. I have the same problem with the Shockwave game site, and have to use SeaMonkey in order to resize the Java popup window. I did post the problem on the MozillaZine Forum, only to find that many users could see the resize grippy.

Unfortunately it is an old bug, but since it isn't a "blocker" it doesn't appear that anyone is working on this bug at the present time. Here are a couple of the bugs:
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=224851
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=244787

and if you want to search for more:
