I would like a bit of help please. It has been AGES since I have had to deal with this subject. And my memory ( personal ) is not the best it could be. So I would like to know what needs to be done JUST IN CASE.

I know that 98 makes the RB00x.cab files that reside in the C:\Windows\Sysbackup folder.

I know that they can be used to restore the Registry and has to be done from DOS. But, I have forgotten what the command is.

I also believe that there also is a certain file that must be loaded at boot up for it to work.

    Thank you PeteC.

That is what I was looking for.

I THOUGHT that is the way it was but I just needed to be sure I was thinking correctly. It has been printed out and stored with other things.

    Thanks again.
