I just ran Clean Up, a very powerful utility that empties a ton of temp and backup files. At any rate, I now do not show the Luna (XP) style. The bar along the bottom of the monitor is the old-fashioned Windows 9x style. When I right-click on Desktop and go to Appearance/Windows and Buttons I only have Windows Classic style as an option. Isn't this where I should also have the choice of Luna? How can I restore Luna to my computer?

BTW--I do have Luna on the computer, in Windows/Resources/Themes. It has a folder called Luna, as well as two shortcuts (for Luna and the Windows Classic) to the appearances/settings for my desktop.

In the theme list select "Browse" and navigate to the Resources dir and choose Luna.

I did that, but even after restarting, it makes no difference.

I still have the plain, "classic" Windows look on the toolbars at the bottom of the monitor--light grey, squared. I'd like the XP--darker blue, more rounded icons.

    Try this route ....

Right click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Visual Effects and check either Let Windows ... or Adjust for best appearance (Not sure which as I use Classic anyway). Adjust for best performance will give you the classic style task bar.

Tony, as I said earlier under Applearance tab, my only option is Windows Classic. That drop down menu doesn't give me any other choice.

Thanks for the link, Pete. On another forum (for another problem), I was told to use the very aggressive program Clean Up. Well it did such a good job, it took out some of the Luna theme as well. I found an uncorrupted replacement at the page you sent me to:
    http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/Resources.zip

Anyways, I just unzipped and replaced the corrupted version "shotgun style." BUt if you want to do a more smooth (and safe) replacement, you can follow the simple steps here:

Glad to hear that you have resolved the problem :) The moral here - treat cleanup programs with caution - often better to do it manually.

Agreed. I normally just do cleanups (manually) once a month, but I got a trojan after relying upon the freeware AntiVir (which I no longer do) and was told in another forum to do steps 1, 2, and 3, etc.
