i recently re-formatted my computer a few months back but i didn't notice that i havvent got the motherboard disk with the computer since i've had this computer for ages. anyway i re-formatted and i had lost eveything. my m8 made a disk up for me with sound and colour back but i hav noticed (after ages) that i only have a resolution of 640 x 480 and i was wondering if any1 knows how i can get 800 x 600 back...this is really bothering me since i cant play any games since the screen is really samall. also if there is a way to get a higher colour rather than 16 bit. my computer is really **** and need to get a new 1 but since i'm only 15 then theres no way i can afford it.

    please help people....thanks

    Poltergiest,

I am no pro with hardware but you can try this suggestion.
Download Aida32, unzip it and run it It is a benchmark tool and once run will tell you all about your system. What kind of motherboard, video card how much ram ect. You might be able to use it to see what kind of video card or mother board you have by name or vendor and then do a google search to find any upgrade or newer drivers for it. You will need to download the personal version. It is free as well hope this helps.
