During startup I get the following message pop up

    "Resolution Notifier
    Optimum Resolution
    1024x768
See Users Manual For More Information
    Press Exit To Clear "

I run Windows XP SP2 The monitor is an NEC MultiSync LCD 1550V.
All my settings show 1024x768 and even the monitor settings show
    1024x768 ON.
If anyone can suggest a solution I would Be grateful

Hi, DIKAR72. Welcome to Windows BBS! :)

Here are [NEC MultiSync LCD 1550V .pdf manual-48 pages (English-only version-27 pages)] references to the resolution modifier I found by searching the documents for "Resolution Notifier" (without the quotes).

Page 10 (Page 14 in the English-only version):
It seems if you select OFF, the popup window would no longer appear.

Page 11 (Page 16 in the English-only version):
This appears to say it is normal for the popup window every time you turn on the computer and/or monitor, regardless of your resolution settings.

If the popup window annoys you, perhaps you can disable (turn OFF) the Resolution Notifier in the "TOOL menu ". Neither manual has any other references to "tool menu" so I assume the monitor's TOOL menu is easily accessed without instructions from the manual.

Please let us know how this works for you.

    Hi Mailman,
Best wishes to you and thanks for the info.
Rather strangely the Reset did reset but the Resolution remained ON. However after a bit of trial and error I was able to change this to OFF. All is OK now so once again thanks and keep up the good work.
