When I 'reply' to an email, it often arrives at the recipient almost blank, except for 2 strange heiroglyphics :)confused: spelling?)
This doesn't always happen, but it does seem to happen with the same people. I have no problem sending a mail using 'new message'.
Grateful for any help. thank you.

    :(
Thanks, Steve, but I'm afraid it didn't work.
Strangely, it doesn't happen to all addresses that I 'reply' to.
Dare I ask for any other suggestions?

May you be well and happy

The "yp" appears when you reply in HTML format but do not quote the original message in the reply. It's a bug.

Go to Tools - Options - Send and check "Include message in reply ".

    HTH.

    Thanks a lot.
The obvious follow-up question: how can I get rid of the bug? Does it have a specific name?
In the meantime, your suggestion seems to be working.
    Thank you

I think by bug, he meant glitch.

    Indeed he did :D

Lady Mitch - it's an OE problem and, until such time as MS release a fix for it, you'll have to either make use of the workaround or reply in plain text format.
