Replying to mail

When I 'reply' to an email, it often arrives at the recipient almost blank, except for 2 strange heiroglyphics confused: spelling?)
This doesn't always happen, but it does seem to happen with the same people. I have no problem sending a mail using 'new message'.
Grateful for any help. thank you.

 

Thanks, Steve, but I'm afraid it didn't work.
Strangely, it doesn't happen to all addresses that I 'reply' to.
Dare I ask for any other suggestions?

You are right. 'Sort of a yp' with foreign markings!!!
I think you are going to tell me what's wrong?

 

The "yp" appears when you reply in HTML format but do not quote the original message in the reply. It's a bug.

Go to Tools - Options - Send and check "Include message in reply ".

Lady Mitch - it's an OE problem and, until such time as MS release a fix for it, you'll have to either make use of the workaround or reply in plain text format.
