I installed the new Opera, free version. and have decided because of other software I use in conjunction with a browser, that I want to remove it.

I went thru the standard removal process, then removed the Opera home directory and it didnt die. I even went thru the Registry and I think removed all references to Opera.

It is still alive somewhere and my other software seems to find it anyway.

Should have uninstalled fairly cleanly. A suggestion would be to reinstall it (preferably the same version) and uninstall it again. Then run a couple of registry cleaners over the system.
