    Hi,

So, I am reinstalling my OS (Vista) off the boot disk I got from Gateway when I bought my notebook. Everything seems to go fine until I get to the "Installing Updates" part. When it gets to that, it tells me its loading for a while, then says it needs to restart. However, when it restarts it still needs to boot from a disk (the only way it can boot at this point), and starts me at the begining of the install again. Anyone have any ideas? I'm completely lost. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

Are you seeing a message about "Press any key from boot from disk?" If so - Do NOT press any key.
