Someone please..........how do I change my name on the computer??? Registry...right? But how??? When I had to replace my C drive I put my name in with all small letters. Ever since I have had trouble with Microsoft Office XL, and it finally dawned on me that it was registered with the appropriate capital letters at the beginning of my first and last name, and maybe that's why the machine wants me to keep reloading it. I am using Window's Me but with XL Office.

Hope this tells you what you need to know, and that someone can kindly help me as this reloading is REALLY getting to be a pain in the b**t!! LOL

    Thanks to all
    Grateful your help

You can download a script from the following site that will help you do this.

At the site click on Windows Me and then click on Change Registered Owner/Organization.

    Rod,

So far, so good! Thanks for the site........I made use of some other things on there too, and appreciate you referring me there. It's bookmarked for future reference, and again, thanks for the help!

    Truly grateful

Your welcome. Glad I could be of help and thanks for posting back. Someone else referred to me to Doug's site a couple of years back. It was like finding a gold mine and like you I bookmarked it immediately. Enjoy.
