I just finished reformatting my harddrive due to error messages I kept receiving. Now, when I try to run Regedit, the screen appears, then disappears so I don't have acces to it. I am also receivng an error messaging stating that "Windows will be shutting down..." and it even has a countdown and it restarts my computer. Should I just reformat again?

Sorry but are you having two different problems - regedit won't stay running and unexpected reboots - or does trying to run regedit cause the shutdown?
