Hello, sorry for the word redo but my buddy has a Dell Dimension 3000 with XP on it. I want to bring the PC back to original shape. No CD's are found with it, someone said it has a partition to redo to new install of XP, anyone know how, please!
    Thanks, Paul

Hi Steve, I went to the manual right away for the Dimension 3000 , read it best I could to see if there was a partition for reinstalling XP but was unable to find that info...I'll keep looking Steve..
    Thanks, Paul

When you look inside Win explorer with all the hidden file made available - do you see a second partition?

If not - contact Dell for a replacement cd or borrow one from a friend.

Steve, No second partition showing in Windows Explorer with ALL FILES SHOWING, none hidden! I found in the owners Manual that I can hit "Shift & F11" to restore the OS but nothing coming up when rebooting PC..
Thanks Steve, would I need to borrow a Dimension 3000 CD with XP or any XP CD? How about the drivers ??

Any matching Home or Pro Dell cd will work fine. (needs to match the key code on the machine Home or Pro)
