Recovery won't run because it says that it can't protect my computer. What do I do now?

What Recovery are you talking about ?

Give me all your computer problems - I may not have the solution, but at least it will make you feel good.

Or, it may help us help you, if you could explain exactly what you are trying to do.

Are you trying to run a repair of your XP installation, re-install windows or use the restore facility to get things back to where they were before something went wrong.
