Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this. I have a question about recovery. Me and my friend built my computer piece by piece, and I still have all of the install disks and the windows xp disk and everything but what I was wondering is if there is a way to make like 1 or 2 recovery disks that install all of the hardware/drivers instead of having to use separate disks for each like the graphics card, printer, keyboard, soundcard and everything inbetween? Also I have 2 separate harddrives, one with the operating system and all my files on it, the other solely dedicated to media, if I reformat the operating system hard drive will the other harddrive still stay intact completely. Thanks for the time, I really appreciate it.

Yes, use an imaging software to make a full drive backup image. I use Acronis True Image but there are some freeware ones as well. I have tested and used one called DriveImage XML which is available HERE.

Yes. Formatting will only affect the one drive.
