I have been having really slow DSL downloads (87 KB/sec). PCPitStop tests show my download speed to be 696 Kb/sec although the test packet was 402 KBytes and took 4.6 seconds which I interpret as more like 80/sec. PCPitStop offered to tweak my Receive Buffer Size. Is this a good thing to allow?

    Thanks to all as usual,

I think yes. What they may doing is adjusting the TIF - Temporary Internet Files folder. This file has to hold a great many things such as images - .gifs, which take up a lot of room.

To always be on the safe side - make a manual Sytem Restore point, before any changes to the system. This is a setting change, and SR will cover that.

    Regards - Charles
