quick vpn question

    I have setup a vpn connection between two locations using all default options.

    both PC's are winxp pro.

    is this connection encryped w/ 128bit, or do I hav to enable that??

    one more question,

    my understanding is that any shared document on a PC is avaiable on the internet for those who know how to access it.

    is it possible to share a folder only with a vpn connection, but not an internet connection?? (i hope that made since)

    128 bit (strong) vs. 40 bit (standard) encryption - take a look Here for more info. Realistically, unless you are guarding the crown jewels, the 40 bit should be plenty though.

    If you have a good firewall running, you can ensure that the files are only available thru the VPN connection.
