quad core

    have done some comparisons on toms hardware web site on the intel quadcore q6600 and intels dual core 2 e6850. q6600 has 8mb cache but only a 2.4ghz whereas the e6850 has 4mb cache but is 3ghz. the couple comparisons i ran pretty much ended up being a tie. one did well in one test but the other did well in other tests.

    so my question is which one is the way to go. on dells systems the e6850 is 20.00 more than the quad core.

    If you have 87 apps open at a time all the time the quad would do better...

    The e6850 @ 3GHz would be my choice..

    sorta what i thought.

    now lets take it a different direction. how about a gamer. client that is interested in a machine is somewhat of a gamer. not on the net but things attached to his machine like joystick, footpeddles type stuff. not being a gamer myself i have no idea.
