promblem with customise search

hi, i have windows me with ie 6. when i use the search button on the toolbara window opens but its blank. when i click custom and choose the settings then ok nothing happens. i have to cacel to get the box to close.if i keep on trying it eventually works but it won't save the settings . the next time i try and use the search the popup window will open ann it will say loading search settings but they never load. i tried repair internet explorer ,that didn't help.thank you.

 

Welcome. I don't know which operating system you are using, but if it's available to you, have you tried to Repair Internet Explorer? Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Internet Explorer... > Add/Remove > Repair.

 

p spino--Do try Kevin's suggestion, but also consider not using IE's Search function at all. Rather search at www.google.com. It is an exceptional search engine.
