Resolved Program Doesn't Load

    I have a application which is in my Start Menu Configuration but will not automatically execute when I turn on my computer. I have to go in and manually start it. I have "Pin to Start Menu" but that doesn't help either.

    Hi joe645. Make sure the shortcut of the program that you want to run on startup is in the Start< All Programs< Startup folder. If the shortcut is in that folder then it will launch automatically when you boot up the computer.

    Pin to Start Menu = display a shortcut to the program in the Start Menu, visible after clicking the orb.

    To have it load at boot:

    copy the shortcut to the program >
    go to C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup >
    paste the shortcut in the Startup directory.

    Reboot to verify.

    Some programs have a setting to load at boot. Check the program's settings, preferences or options. If it has such a setting, omit the above.

    The application (Webshots - a desktop background prg) has an automatic setting so adding anything in start menu only applied conflict. Thanks. Resolved....
