I have had the problem before but XP is set out diverently.
the problem is the " key and the @ key are reversed, and the tab key does not work
i think its to do with the keyboard being set as americain, not europeian (bad spelling)

    any help?

Look in Control Panel>Regional and Language Options>Languages tab>Details button to change "the language used to input text" - Microsoft-speak for "change the language the keyboard uses. "
