I'm using a Windows XP machine on a simple network (a crossover cable to another PC) but there's a second network connection on my machine that I set up and never used. I'm having problems deleting this connection.

When I try to delete it from the Network Connections window I get the error message "The connection you selected cannot be deleted ".

Does anyone know how I can get rid of this connection?

Btw, I've disabled the device that connection uses.

Have you tried from safe mode when logged on as Administrator?
