Printing freezes win98

    I have a new PC with Win98SE installed. Printing to an Epson Photo 1200 freezes the system. I have installed the latest drivers. I used to be able to print from a notebook running the same OS.

    This may help your problem. When you boot up your computer access your BIOS. Once in there check the LPT port to see if it has bidirectional support. If not change it. If you are unsure how to access your BIOS settings check your motherboards user manual. On most computers you can access it by pressing DEL during the POST.

    Good call NJTech30 , some bios' have the options "ECP/EPP" that will ENABLE bi-direction:)
