Hello, I'm new to the forum and I have a question about Windows NT. Where I work we have an Apple printer, LaserWriter 8500, setup to print from a server on an old NT machine via a simple network. The other day, the printing quit and the driver disappeared. When I go to add a new printer, an error message displays stating that the rpc server could not be found. I've looked far and wide, tried dozens of things, but nothing seems to help. I followed several solutions I found on Google, but alas, no improvement. It's getting very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If that's all the NT box does, why not just re-install NT? It'll probably be a lot quicker than trying dozens of ideas.

I can't say I know what the problem is. I've used NT for years and found it very, very stable. Maybe your HD is on the way out and a file has become corrupted.
