I'm just really getting to understand the pros and cons about Vista. More Pros than Cons just for the record but what to do about not being able to use my Lexmark X75 All In-One printer. This is a major stumbling block, going to have to dump Vista RC1 for now if I can't get Printer to work :(
    Any help

Printer Drivers are written by the printer manufacturer, not Microsoft. You should contact Lexmark and ask their plans.

As a personal note, I read some of the 37 on-line reviews available for this printer here: http://www.shopping.com/xPW-Lexmark-X75

They were in the main highly displeased with this printer. If it came down to a choice between using Vista and preserving my $79 printer, I would vote for Vista.

One tip often ignored is to use the XP Compatability Mode and install the XP drivers.

Thanks Bill, Oh if it came down to picking between Vista & Printer I would by another Lexmark that would work with Vista. Just for the record, I know that people really don't like this All In-One printer (X75) but after 3 years of NEVER a problem and a old Lexmark Ink Jet still running after 8 years I'm sold on Lexmark. Oh if i hit the Lottery I would get a nice Laser printer but this one Prints, Scans, Copies etc with ease...I do appreaciate all your help though Bill. Maybe I should "Contact" Lexmark about Vista Beta for drivers..:) ;)

    Dear Bill,
"One tip often ignored is to use the XP Compatability Mode and install the XP drivers. "

What does that mean? How would I do it with Vista on a PC?

    Thank You Kindly,
    Paul D.

Hi Bill, I apolegize for asking but I'm not sure I understand this, I have the software and drivers for my Lexmark x75 on a CD. but is it better to download the driver from Lexmarks website to my desktop and follow the above directions. What is a "Act wrapper "??
    Thank You
    Paul

The Drivers on the web site are probably more recent than the ones on the cd.
