pps can not open

Hi
hope somone can help me and explain it to me in layman terms,
When I recieve a e-mail with attachment of a pps file, I can not open it I get a message "file does not have programe associted go to control panel and click on Folder option, thats great but what do I do then.

I should mention that I have Power Point installed and if I save the file to desktop I can open it. Can anyone help me Please

Welcome to the board! After double clicking on Folder Options, select the File Types tab. You should be able to add the PPS file extension to your list. Once added, you click on PPS in the list and choose Power Point to open it with. you should then be set.

thanks for the reply tried that but the same error message still comes up I am at a loss as I use to be able to open all power point attachments before,

went in and reinstalled office and then followed your instructions all well on the home front now
