I made my first ppst 2007 program and saved it as a ppsx file. I put sound into the program and saved it into a file. The sound plays in the program on my computer but when I email the program it shows up at the recipients without the sound. I can't find anything on it but did receive a mail telling me that 2007 program cannot send the sound in a mailer. Any help?

Don't you have to embed the sound into the ppsx file so everything is together?

The sound is embedded. When you're working with a new pps program in 2007 version it is a PPTX program. You go to the "insert" tab on the tool bar and click on music and then you select the source from like either file or a cd. To make it a finished working program you then save the finished project as a PPSX file and the music is embedded in it. When you click on the saved file on the home computer, the program does it display thing with the music playing as you finished and wish it presented. But when you send the file out in an email to share it, the music has disappeared and the user on the other end only has the picture part of it. Where did it go or is it hiding? Thanks for the help.

    Problem solved

I get it now. The PPSX program music does not physically embed the music into the program but actually just links to the music file, say in "My Music." It will play on my computer as it is supposed to but it links to the music file I have already saved in the venue. The recipient you send it to does not have that music saved on his computer so when he installs the program, it can not find the music file and all they get is the picture portion. When putting this together after saving it, you must make a separate empty folder and name it whatever you want. Then go to your PPSX program file and copy and past it in the new folder you just made. Now go to the music file and copy the music and paste it into the same new folder. Now inside that folder you now have two programs, one for pictures and one for the music. Now when you send it in a mailer, the person(s) receiving it will have the both the music source and the photo program in the same folder.
I'm a little dense but learned a lot. Hope I was clear enough.
