    Hi people,
I just reinstalled windows 98 on my PC which has a motherboard made by ASUS.
I keep getting the message when I boot up stating : New Hardware Found; PCI SYSTEM BUS MANAGEMENT BUS.
I get a few other too. What I'm looking for is the driver for the device and also for the sound and USB ports.
I looked everywhere for them but cannot find them. If I get the PCI driver will it become easier to install other devices, ie. monitor, sound etc?

    Please Help.

Have you checked the discs that came with the computer or motherboard? What model is the motherboard? I know you said it's an Asus but we need to know what model.

I checked at Asus and the closest thing I could come up with was a CUSL2-C. If this is right the board has a 815E chipset. Need to know this for sure though. Go here and download the chipset id utility. Run it and post back as to what chipset you have. Do this for now and we'll worry about the sound etc. later.

What kind of computer is this? Compaq, Gateway, Dell, homebuilt???
Do you have any discs that came with the computer?

I'll be gone most of the day so I probably won't get back to this until this evening. Just so you know.

Ok. Go here and download infinst_enu.exe. Once you've downloaded it double click on the file and the setup program will begin. This should take care of your PCI bus. After you've installed it reboot and see what happens when Windows finds the other hardware. After Windows is started have a look in the device manager (right click on my computer and choose properties) and see if anything listed in there has a yellow exclamation mark by it. If so, what are they?
