    I am trying to update from Win2k to WinXP. When the installation wants to start, i get a blue screen that says that the pciide.sys is corrupted...how can i fix this problem? where can i get that file to put on my OS.?

    Run sfc /scannow from a command prompt (have your Win2K CD ready).
