We have 2 PC's sharing a DSL Connection, with pcAnywhere v. 10.5 installed on each.

The main unit is running Windows XP Pro, and is setup as the Control for the pcAnywhere Program. The secondary PC is running Windows 98 SE.

All I use the Program for is to transfer files from the Main to the Secondary PC, for backup purposes.

My problem is that after I have transferred items and quit the Program, I cannot connect again without restarting the Program on the receiving PC.

I suspect a setting is incorrect somewhere and certainly would appreciate any assistance.

    Many Thanks.

For sure there is a setting wrong somewhere! Which or both computers?

If the the computers are connected thru a Router/switch then you have a direct network connection and don't need PCAW.

It can be done with copy???
