    restarts

I like to try the easiest first. on power on did you go into where you can restore defaults -on my machine F-8. also before it restart to do that i left click my comp. - properties - tools - check now - mark both boxes. yes- and restart. then F-8 set defaults; or go into your safe mode option and load last known good config.

Hello and welcome to WindowsBBS Forums.

I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary here. Can you tell us if you made any system changes when this rebooting began? Added any software\hardware? Any Windows updates maybe? Let us know.

Btw, where is the dialer located on the system, such as it's file path?

You can fix the following items with HJT.

Open Hijackthis, select the [Do a system scan only] button and look over the following entries I have listed, check the boxes [] next to them and press the [Fix Checked] button. When you are doing this, make sure you have No IE windows, nor any other browsers open, including this one. Reboot if I have specified below, and post a fresh HijackThis log.

Reboot, run HJT, if the above are gone, no need to repost with new log.
