    Hi Again
I have a PC Doctor that does a diagnostic test on my PC. It's a Hp Pavilion and it came with this program.
When I try to do a systems check it comes to a "Linear seek test" and then asks me to "please insert a CD ROM disc formatted with data tracks ".
I had to burn my own Recovery disc because it did not come with one. Just a program that I could run one time to make a recovery disc for myself.

Is this the same disc that PC Doctor is asking for? or do I need to make a data disc? and if so, how would I make one?

    Thanks Again.

This is a checkup for your cd. Any manufactored cd-disk that has data on it (files, folders, dat txt etc.) will do. It's actually checking your cdrom hardware functions not the cd-disk. I don't recommend using a burned cd-disk, since read/writes for these can be erratic on their own and may not trully reflect a problem with the cdrom player but with the cd-disk its self.
