Right click on Network Neighborhood, choose Properties. From the drop-down list under "Primary Network Logon," choose "Windows Logon," click OK. It'll have to reboot.

The first time it boots, it will ask for a username and password. Put whatever user name you like, leave the password field blank and either click OK or press the enter key on the keyboard. Don't use the Cancel button or the X. After that, it won't ask for a password again.

Be forewarned, this sometimes messes up network connections...LAN, broadband internet...and if that happens to you, you'll probably have to go back to putting up with the password on boot.
