I m using a zip drive to transport files from home to a work computer (the computer is mine, just one I have for work)..... is there any way to make a shortcut to whatever would shut down the port so I can just unplug the zip drive.... just gets old having to shut it down for that.I know a USB would've been better, but hey, it was free... what can ya say?:)
    Any input appreciated.

It sounds like you're looking for a way to shut off the power to the parallel port without shutting off the system. There is no way to do that.
