page position using back

Let's say I do a search on a search engine and get a long list of responses. I scroll down the list, hit a link, and go to that page. I then hit the back button and go back to the search engine page. On my desktop, I go back to where ever I had scrolled to on the search engine page. My laptop always takes me back to the top of the search engine page and I have to scroll down the list again. I can't find a way to set this. Where do I click to fix?

 

Does it still happen right after you've cleared the cache and history? Control Panel > Internet Options...
