I'm trying to get on this website http://www.bathurstsustainabledevelopment.com/ and I get a "Page cannot be displayed" error. Now I'm sure that you can get on it cuz everyone else I know can. Even when I try to FTP to it I can't. I cleared all my temp internet files, history, cookies... what else could I do.

PS. I've also tryed to connect to the IP but I still cant.

You're most welcome. Happy to help.
I'm just going to resist replying "Cause it's Windows "....and instead say "it just happens ". Things get corrupted.
You waited a whole 5 hours before coming over here to ask? What took ya so long? :D :p

Part of the issue depends on which OS you are using. 2K and XP will both cache DNS entries automatically if you use the default settings. It does speed up browsing if all is going well. However, both are perfectly willing to cache bad entries and if/when that happens, you won't see the page again until you remove the bad information. Easy enough to do with a single command. Also, you can set your system not to do this anymore.

And take a look at this Hosts file explanation which is short and easy to understand. Has a couple of interesting ideas in it as well.
