    Hello,

When I send an attachment, say a single photo, very small, Outlook 2000 takes up to 10 minutes to send the file. One recipient or many. This happened suddenly. They used to fly. I have Comcast cable as my ISP. I cleared my cache, deleted history files and compressed my .pst (?) file in Outlook. I have Windows ME. No new software or changes were made to my PC. Unless the wife did it...

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

My cable supplier here in Australia has brought in a few different levels of usage you can have. I chose a 3Gb limit and for this short month of September am floating close to the limit-if I exceed it I will have my speed reduced to 56K for the next month.

Does your ISP have any rules like that?

If not there are times when their system or whatever can experience peak loads and you may have just struck a bad time.
I have seen downloads at 10K and over 500K occuring due to load factors in peak hour usage times.

I'm not sure if they have rules like that, but I haven't sent anything big at all, or a lot of smaller files that would add up. I don't think I've just hit a bad time because it's been going on for a few weeks. I e-mailed my ISP but of course there has been no response.

HotTuna - doesn't sound like much fun.

    Local Firewall?

Any sort of attachment (non-pic for instance)?

Same behavior if you plant the pic within the post itself rather than attach?

    Hi,

No local fire-wall. No other attachments, just plain Outlook. No background... No fun is right. But then, we just had twins, so that makes up for it!

    Thanks again.
