I've been using Outlook Express for a few years. I downloaded Eudora 5.2 today and will try it out. What do you fellers think? Which do you like the best? I've already had a problem---Eudora will not import my WAB from OE. I'm using WinXP Pro. Thanks for opinions.

Eudora may not import from OE . But if you set the addresses to Eudora nicknames that won't be lost be lost if you lose OE. IF you have Eudora on another partition.

I can't verify for sure about the imports. But I believe I imported OE address book once and then changed them to Eudora Nicknames. I do not even had OE installed. So I can not be of too much help there.

But it on a partition other then C: and you would lose Eudora.

I am running the same Eudora, from the same folder, from the same E: drive as I was in Win95. I now have 98 SE. and I also tired XP and Eudora was like Timex. It took a lickin but kept on tickin.

    Thanks

Thanks B. Bob. Now that I have Eudora looking the way I want it, I kinda like it. If I want the full thing, I'll have to pay to get rid of the advertising. I wonder if the free version would do me just as good. Probably not. Thanks, Buzz

If you have Eudora setup on another partition and working to your liking I believe you will like it. And will find that OE, or Outlook can go down the drain and have no effect on Eudora.

As I mentioned before. Even changing the OS had now effect on it. It * MIGHT * have to be re-installed over itself but it will not lose anything.

Norton Anti-Virus will check it both in and out. ( if a newer version of NAV is installed ).

Now if you were to add MailWasher to check the mail on the server so that you can delete and Bounce a lot of Spam it will save you some time and space also.

MailWasher WILL NOT download mail. That is not what it is for.

In regards to Eudora. Something to check on. There are 2 or 3 ( maybe 4 ) .INI files that you need to check and make sure they point to the proper locations. I had one that pointed to the C: drive even though I installed it on the E: drive.

    Enjoy
