When i start Outlook Express by double clicking it the dialup box doesn't show and i get an error. Is there a setting which cures this as when i use Internet Explorer the dialup box comes up and dials the net.
    Help please

Have a look at the following:

Open IE, click on Tools>Internet Options>Programs and make sure the selection under "E-Mail" is set for Outlook Express.

    Post back good or bad.

If I understand your problem try this: In your browser click on tools then Internet Options>click on the Connections tab>In the center of the dialog box there are the three "radio" buttons and if it is not checked, check the center one- "Dial whenever a network connection is not present ". Click apply and see if this helps.

OK! Another place to check is Tools>Internet Options>Connections and see what is checked under "Dial Up Settings" ie: "Never ect." or "Dial whenever ect." or "Always dial etc."

On my setup I use "Always dial my default connection" and it works for both IE and OE when I double click the desktop icon.

The above assumes that you have "dial up" access and not cable or DSL.

Try either one. See what works for you. :)
