I have two computers using the same e-mail address.. when my server switched names from (thomasray@home.com to thomasray@cox.net) I lost the e-mail on one computer.. according to the Cox Tech people my port 110 is actively refuseing to accept e-mail. How do I fix this?? Most people I have talked to don't have a clue on what it will take to repair this problem.. the weird thing is I was getting mail just fine on both computers before the switchover. all my addresses & information is identical on both computers but one just will not accept the mail.. ??

I'd take the computer that is not working and delete the acount from Outlook Express and recreate it with the "new" information like you're setting the account up for the first time. Without more detail it's hard to pinpoint your problem. Post back your results with any error messages and we'll see if we can help you.

Go to Tools > Accounts> Mail> Properties> Advanced and change the incoming server (POP3) port number to 110. If it's already set to 110 then ... erm ... I'm stumped!!!

Completely disregard the above advice ... it's total tosh! Go to Tools > Accounts> Mail> Properties> Servers and you'll probably find that the servers name has been entered incorrectly or has been changed by some other application such as the nasty NAV.
