I have noticed that my OE6 is taking longer and longer to load.
I'm using XP Home and Norton's Email Anti-Virus. I'm on High Speed internet connection. OE6 use to be instant and since I haven't changed anything (knowingly) I can't understand why it's now taking so long - anyone else having this problem or know of a solution ???

Last night I disabled 'Messenger'. Today, when I opened Outlook Express 6 it took 30 seconds before the 'Outlook Express 6' screen disappeared and 35 seconds before 'connecting' finished. I read elsewhere that disabling 'Messenger' could do this so I enabled it again. I restarted my computer and re-opened outlook Express. It opened INSTANTLY! So, disabling 'Messenger' is definitely one cause of OE 6 slowing down.
