    Hi,

If I click Start|Control Panel|System and view the General tab I see a section in the middle called Registered to: which contains three text strings.

Is it possible to change either of the first two (Organisation and Computer Name I think)?

    Regards FarmerJo

Search the registry for the current name. When found, edit and change.

Can't you just go into Control Panel> System > Comp Name

The General tab in System Properties shows three things under the "Registered to:" section:
    1. the name of the person the computer is registered to
    2. his/her organization, if any ... mine is blank
    3. the computer's ID number
All three are found (and can be changed) in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion.

The computer's name can be changed as Johanna suggests.
