One very bad printer

I have a windows 2000 pro. Networked. It is connected to a shared printer. It takes forever to print to this printer. Any other printer works fine.
I have deleted the printer and removed it from the registry. Readded the printer and it still takes about 1/2 hour to print.

Any ideas?

 

Domain? Multiple subnets?

Printer shared from a PC or via a print server?

Also, helpful if you post your IP address and that of the printer (or PC hosting the printer if it is set up like that).

And moving this thread to the networking section since it pretty much has to be a network issue rather than a problem with your 2K PC.

 

Just an FYI. When I connected to the printer I used the drivers from the internet.

I ended up using the cd that came with the printer (a few years old) and using that install. That corrected the problem.
