I installed Avery wizard about a year ago. When installing the program it installed two icons or buttons on the tool bar for the same program. Don't know why it did it but it did. I really wasn't concerned as it worked and the second button didn't bother me. The program works inside Microsoft Word 2000. It worked great for what I wanted to do. Well Avery came out with a new version and wanted to install it. First I was going to remove or uninstall the older version. I did and it was removed. The problem I have is that it did not remove both buttons or icons from the tool bar. The uninstall just removed one and left one. I called Avery and they too are stumped. They have no idea why it stayed on the tool bar. If I click on the tool bar to see all the check marks, the wizard is checked but its grayed out and can't be selected. I checked Microsoft to see if they had an answer but nothing their for this type of problem.
Does anybody have an idea or thought on how to remove a button on the Word 2000 tool bar. The normal way is just not available. I guess if I had to live with it I could but if something put it their then some how their should be a way to make it go away.

A few possible solutions that comes to mind - apart from uninstalling and re-installing Word - which might or might not solve the problem....

A repair of Word (Help > Detect & Repair or through Add/Remove Programs). I am not at all sure that this would help :(

Another possible is to uninstall Avery - download RegSeeker and search for all references to Avery in the registry and delete them - make sure that the backup box is checked - and then reinstall Avery

A third possibility is to uninstall Avery, re-install the old version and uninstall it and see if that removes the extra button. Then install the new Avery.
