    Subject: Use graphic as signature

    Comment:
In OE6 I create a signature by putting a dot in the 'signature' panel and entering the disk address of the graphic. But all I get in the email message is the famous little box with the red 'X'. Is it possible to use a graphic (my pix)as a signature? It is .jpg.

When I try to do that, and enter the signature manually (by selecting Insert > Signature) I will get a warning that the signature file is not a valid text file and will be removed....

So the answer seems to be that that it's not possible....

Now I found this which explains why. You CAN use graphics, but what can you do in graphics with 4k!!!

    Signature size limitation

dmorse03 and arie--First of all read OE Help for signature, personal.
Now a signature must be either a .txt or .htm file to use Insert|Signature. So that eliminates .jpg's or animated .gifs.
But in OE6 you can add .jpg or .gif signatures by using Insert|Picture. You can also do it in OE5.5, but your Security setting must be at Internet, not Restricted.
And the graphics file (.txt, .htm, .jpg or .gif) must be on your hard drive not on some other website.
All this assumes that dmorse03 was referring to signatures in Outlook Express, not signatures here on the Forum.

After reading all the input, I gess the best solution is to 'Insert Picture'. Yes I was referring to OE6. Thanks all...
