I have Outlook Express version 6. FYI, I also have latest Norton AV. Am wondering whether it is safe to open OE Message Source on incoming mail. Procedure is as follows: Right-click message header info; select Properties; select Details tab; click Message Source radio button. This allows one to look at tons of info about the message, but I'm not sure Norton even senses that I've opened this viewer. It seems to be safe enough, but would like clarification. Thanks.

Yes, it's safe to view a message this way. If the email you're viewing happens to have any type of nasty payload it won't be executed when you view the email this way.
