I have actually installed NT4sp1 and upgraded to sp6a with WDU actually working. Problem is: always reports a failure upon boot. The MB lan drivers will not install so there ain't no ethirnet. Nevertheless i cannot make NT4 stop reporting a known error.

Not a big deal cause it's just three more clicks. I tried shutting down some likely seversis and had to reghost (will not boot).
    Thank goodness for ghost.

So, how do you get rid of this error : other driver has failed. Press this OK button to continue. Not important, just trying to cut down on required keyclicks to boot.

The event log should report which driver or service failed to start. You can either load a newer driver to correct the problem or if it's a service, you can stop it or disable it from starting if it's not required.

Thanks Bursley, i followed your advice and tracked down that it was "Server" trying to start.
