I replaced NS 7.02 with 7.2 and renamed the profile NS 7.2 but when I try to bring up NS 7.2 I get the message that NS cannot find the directory for the 7.2 profile. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,

    Marvin

    Marv6,

    Do this:
Open the Profile Manager for Netscape, and delete the renamed Netscape 7.2 Profile name. When prompted: "Don't Delete Files" and "Delete Files" ensure that you click on "DON'T Delete Files ". Now click on "Create Profile ". Enter the same Profile name that you just deleted, and Netscape should find the Profile.

If you added the -p profilename switch to your Desktop shortcut, ensure that you change it to the new Profile name.

Let us know if you continue to have problems.

Hi Ramona, I did as you suggested and it is now working. I did not get the prompt to delete files however, but recreated the same profile name and it appears to be working just fine.

Again thanks for all of your help over the years,

    Marvin

    Marv6,

Glad to hear that all is working, and thanks for the feedback! Always a pleasure to help a fellow Netscaper!
